Mercedes blimp flying
Mercedes plan to fly a blimp from the site this weekend, the 1st and 2nd November, 09.30 to 16.30.
It will be flown at 127m height and will be the best representation of the height of the turbine available, and your chance to see how it will look from your house or favourite viewpoint. It is dependent on the weather, it needs a calm day and if it is windy it can be pulled down to a low level. As the height of the mast is 60m and the turbine is double this, it is possible to visually check it is at the correct height.
Please take your camera, it should be visible for some miles and it will be better if you can include the mast in photographs. If it is windy, be patient and wait for a lull in the weather. If they are not able to fly on Saturday, look for it again on Sunday.
If you can please send a copy of your best photographs, with details of the location they were taken from, to SBWF it will help us create a portfolio as part of the objection process.
There is a protest demonstration at Mercedes entrance at 10.30am on Saturday, let’s make it well attended.
There is a meeting of Brixworth Parish Council next Monday, 3rd November, 7pm at the Village Hall. The intention is to make a decision on the Mercedes turbine application.
Your support again is important.
